WASHINGTON – LEAD1 Association, which represents the athletics directors of the 130 member institutions within the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), announced today the dates of its two members meetings in the spring and fall of 2019. The spring meeting will be held on June 11, 2019, at NACDA & Affiliates Week in Orlando. The Association’s annual meeting, the largest gathering of FBS ADs nationwide, will be held in Washington on Monday-Wednesday, September 23-25, 2019.
The annual meeting will take place at one of Hilton’s newest properties, the Conrad Washington D.C. LEAD1 will host its Celebration of College Sports Reception on Tuesday, September 24 as part of the annual meeting. On Wednesday, September 25, the Association will host a dynamic conversation surrounding college sports’ biggest issues, and will feature LEAD1 athletics directors, industry leaders and Members of Congress. More information about the event will be released at a later date.
“At our meetings, we discuss the most timely and relevant issues facing college sports,” said Tom McMillen, President and CEO of LEAD1. “Our annual meeting is an important step in strengthening our relationships with policy makers in Washington. Nearly 100 of our athletics directors were in attendance last year and we look forward to hosting them in September at the Conrad Hilton, a premier hotel in CityCenterDC.”
