LEAD1 Association Announces 2018 Membership Events, Including Annual Meeting and Congressional Luncheon in Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The LEAD1 Association, which represents the 130 universities of the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), announced today that it will host its two members meetings in the spring and fall of 2018. The spring meeting will be on May 2, 2018 at the Fiesta Summit in Scottsdale, Arizona, and the Association’s annual meeting will be held in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday-Wednesday, September 25-26, 2018.

The annual meeting will take place at the InterContinental Hotel-The Wharf in Washington, D.C. The Association will host its annual Celebration of College Sports Reception on Tuesday, September 25 as part of the annual meeting. On Wednesday, September 26, athletic directors from the Association will go to Capitol Hill for its annual Congressional Luncheon to meet with various members of Congress who represent LEAD1 institutions. At the luncheon, LEAD1 will also announce the winners of the inaugural 50 Best Staff Student-Athletes on The Hill. More information regarding this contest will be released later this spring.
