Hannah Dewey began as a consultant with LEAD1 in June 2017, before being promoted to the Director of Special Projects & Research in January 2018 and Director of Business Operations & Development in September 2019. Dewey spearheads all business operations that support the LEAD1 mission, including external business relationships, content creation and curating all brand marketing and visual content. She also leads a number of major projects, including the Institute, the Annual Member Meetings and the Annual Compensation Survey.
She began her career as a Compliance intern with the University of Maryland athletics department, before completing an internship with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at their Government Relations office in Washington, D.C.
Following a career as a four-year starting softball student-athlete at the University of Maryland (2013-2017), Dewey concluded her softball career after a season as a professional athlete in Germany and winning the title as a German national champion. Dewey has a Bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Maryland, and is currently pursuing her Masters of Sports Administration degree at Ohio University.
